EUSR Categories 3, 4 & 5 Combined: Install, Inspect & Remove Excavation Support Systems

This comprehensive course combines Category 3: Install, Inspect & Remove Timber Support Systems, Category 4: Install, Inspect & Remove Steel Support Systems, and Category 5: Install, Inspect & Remove Proprietary Support Systems. It provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge to safely install, inspect, and remove various types of excavation support systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

This course is ideal for:

• Utility workers involved in excavation support installation and removal.
• Site supervisors overseeing excavation projects.
• Professionals responsible for ensuring safe excavation practices on-site.

Participants will cover the following key topics:

1. Category 3: Install, Inspect & Remove Timber Support Systems

• Complying with relevant legislation, regulations, and company procedures when installing, inspecting, or removing timber support systems.
• Interpreting design plans and work instructions effectively.
• Identifying dangers, hazards, and risks associated with timber support systems.

2. Category 4: Install, Inspect & Remove Steel Support Systems

• Ensuring a safe system of work exists, including risk assessments and permits to work.
• Installing, inspecting, and removing steel support systems in compliance with industry standards.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues on-site regarding steel support systems.

3. Category 5: Install, Inspect & Remove Proprietary Support Systems

• Understanding proprietary support systems and their applications.
• Following manufacturer guidelines for installation, inspection, and removal.
• Recognising and mitigating risks specific to proprietary support systems.

• Safety First: Learn best practices to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of workers and the public.
• Compliance: Meet the latest industry standards and legal requirements for safe excavation support systems.
• Efficiency: Gain practical skills to install, inspect, and remove support systems safely, reducing costly delays or damage.

No formal qualifications are required. However, participants must bring suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the practical components of the course.

3 days of training, combining classroom theory and practical, hands-on exercises.

On-site or classroom-based training available.

Upon successful completion, participants receive an EUSR Certificate valid for 3 years.

Unemployed

If you are unemployed and seeking work, you may be eligible for funding from the Department of Social Protection to cover all, or some of the costs of your training. (means depending, you may be entitled to up to €1000).

Candidates who wish to avail of this must make an appointment with a case officer in their local Intreo office, discuss their case & apply for funding. The candidate will receive a funding application form which they must sign & bring/post to us. Upon completion, we will send this back to the case officer who will then review the funding application.

Upon receiving funding approval in the post from the Department of Social Protection, candidates must then call us to reserve a place on our course. We cannot confirm a place on our course until funding approval is gained.

Employed
