What you will learn
This course will teach you how to best protect yourself, and anyone you interact with, in a non-healthcare setting. It will allow you to evaluate your own infection prevention/controls, identify the main pathogens and the best ways to control them. The course will also cover the key COVID-19 controls recommended for your business, HSE cleaning and disinfection guidelines as well as WHO hand hygiene technique & cough etiquette.
The webinar includes practical training and practical assessment on hand washing technique.

Infection Control for First Aid Responders This programme is a live instructor led webinar via zoom.
Within the 'Back to Work Safely Protocol' it states: "In the event that first aid required in the workplace, it may not be possible to maintan a distance of 2 meters. Workers with a specific role in acting as first responders should be provided with updated training on infection prevention and control principles including performance of hand hygiene and appropriate use of person protective equipment when delivering first aid."
Who is this course for?
Anyone who is already a qualified PHECC First Aid Responder should attend this training. The aim of this course is to provide trained First Aid Responders with the knowledge and skills that will be required to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
What you will learn?
This course will teach you how to protect yourself and protect your patient from the spread of Covid-19 whilst administering first aid using adapted techniques, wearing suitable PPE and encouraging supervised self help where possible.
