Labourers Card

 Valid for 5 Years

You can apply for this card if you have either:

• Passed the QCF Level One or SCQF Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.
• Hold a valid Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness Course certificate
• Completed the IOSH Working Safely course which must have been acheived within three years prior to making an application
• All applicants must also pass the Operatives CITB Health Safety & Environment test.

If you do not hold any of the above qualifications, please contact our office and we can book you in for the next Labourers Assessment Day where you will participate in a full day classroom based training plus a 45 minute computerised test which is all multiple choice questions. Once confirmed onto the course, a link will be emailed to you for revision for the computer test.


Provisional Card

Valid for 6 months and is non-renewable

This card is for people who are:

• working through probationary periods while employers assess their suitability for employment
• undergoing supervised work experience (aged 16+)
• working as a labourer but not yet completed a recognised qualification for a labourer card and not previously applied for a CSCS card

Applicants must have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the past two years.

Before it expires, Provisional card holders must achieve or be registered for a recognised construction related qualification and apply for the appropriate CSCS card for their job.


Academically Qualified Persons Card

Valid for 5 Years

This card is available to people who have completed certain construction related degrees, HNDs, HNCs, CIOB Certificates and NEBOSH diplomas. There are a list of accepted qualifications here.
• All applicants must pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test for Managers and Professionals.
• To apply for this card, we will need a copy of your qualification also.

If you have a construction related qualification from an Irish Institute or University, you will need to send a copy of your qualification to UK Naric who will compare it to UK qualification standards.

UK Naric will provide you with an Equivalency Report; please forward this to us via email along with a copy of your certificate so that we can advise on which CSCS card you will be entitled to.
