The SSSTS course is a CITB accredited Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme for construction site supervisors. This site safety qualification is now a requirement set out by the major contractors group for all supervisors who will be working on their sites. Construction skills and construction site safety are aligned and made a priority to encourage improved work skills and reduced accidents and injuries. Not only is SSSTS training a must put in place by large contractors, it is also the ideal course for anyone looking to take on a supervisory role within the construction industry.
We run this course in Donegal but our trainers can also travel to you to deliver to your group.
Who should attend?
This course is for first line managers, foremen, gangers, supervisors and team leaders, supervisors and any other workers who have supervisory responsibilities.
The SSSTS course will provide you with the skills to:
Case studies, classroom discussion, group work and individual or group presentations.

Delegates who successfully complete this course are awared with the CITB SSSTS - Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme digital certificate which is valid for 5 years.
Delegates must complete the 1 Day SSSTS Refresher Course before their certificate expires in order for it to remain valid.
The suggested next step would be the five day CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
Unemployed
If you are unemployed and seeking work, you may be eligible for funding from the Department of Social Protection to cover all, or some of the costs of your training. (means depending, you may be entitled to up to €1000).
Candidates who wish to avail of this must make an appointment with a case officer in their local Intreo office, discuss their case & apply for funding. The candidate will receive a funding application form which they must sign & bring/post to us. Upon completion, we will send this back to the case officer who will then review the funding application.
Upon receiving funding approval in the post from the Department of Social Protection, candidates must then call us to reserve a place on our course. We cannot confirm a place on our course until funding approval is gained.
Employed
If employed within the private sector or are a sole trader, there may also be funding assistance available through Skillnet funding. Skillnet may fund a percentage of your training, if eligible. For more details on this, please contact us on 074 91 27786.
