IPAF Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) 3A (Scissor) 3B (Boom)

The 1-day IPAF 3a & 3b Course is designed for anyone who operates a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP). The aim of the programme is to equip users with the knowledge & skills to safely operate these platforms.

Deliver nationwide: Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow.

The course content covers the following:

• Limitations of the Machines
• Inspections & Warning Alarms
• Health & Safety
• Safe Operating Techniques
• Inspection & Servicing
• Emergency Procedures
• Ground Conditions
• Lowering Procedures in Case of Emergency
• Controls, Warnings & Safety
• Preparing for Work on MEWPS
• Instruction Manuals
• Restraint Equipment

Participants must be 18 years of age & are require to bring the following PPE (Personal Protective Equipment):

• Helmet
• Safety Boots
• Hi Vis Vest
• Facemask
• Harness

The IPAF 3a Operator category covers the safe use of Mobile Vertical machines generally called Scissor Lifts.

The IPAF 3b Operator category covers the safe use of Mobile Boom machines which are self-propelled booms and may be articulated or telescopic booms.

Safetech deliver these programme at their Centres and also for groups on client sites

The course duration is 1 DAY.

Upon completion, participants will be awarded with an IPAF e-PAL card which is valid for 5 years.
